Data Quality on Salesforce Leads

Learn how Delpha manages Data Quality on Salesforce Leads. Understand the Score, monitored fields (Email, Phone, LinkedIn), and how Delpha treats Leads as a Contact/Account hybrid.

Overview

The Salesforce Lead object is unique because it functions as a hybrid record—acting as a mix between a Contact (person) and an Account (organization). Because of this dual nature, Data Quality management on Leads requires a specialized approach that validates both individual and company data points simultaneously.

Delpha's Lead Data Quality feature focuses on the specific fields that drive conversion, ensuring that your sales team only works with valid, reachable, and correctly profiled prospects.

The Score Meter

To make data quality actionable for end users, Delpha visualizes the overall health of a Lead using the Score Meter.

  • Visual Component: A Lightning Web Component (LWC) gauge that displays the D Score (0-100).

  • Location: This component is typically placed in the Salesforce Highlights Panel or the Delpha Assistant sidebar.

  • Function: It gives Sales Reps an immediate visual signal—green indicates a "Conversion Ready" lead, while red indicates missing or invalid contact information.

Monitored Fields

To ensure high conversion rates, Delpha actively monitors and validates the following core fields on the Lead object. These fields are checked for the 6 data quality dimensions.

Profile & Identity

  • Name: Checks for formatting, capitalization, and suspicious characters...

  • LinkedIn Contact: Validates the URL and ensures it matches the individual.

Contactability

  • Email: Verifies syntax, domain existence, and deliverability (bounce check).

  • Phone & Mobile Phone: Standardizes formatting (E.164) and checks line validity.

  • Address: Standardizes street, city, state, and zip codes to global postal norms.

Company Data

  • Website: Verifies the domain is active and resolves to a legitimate business site.

  • LinkedIn Account: Links the Lead to the correct corporate entity on LinkedIn.

Lead Scoring & Engagement Metrics

In addition to standard field validation, Delpha calculates a set of summary metrics to give users an instant view of the Lead's quality and engagement level.

Calculated Field

Description

D Email Count

Tracks the volume of email interactions associated with this Lead.

D Call Count

Tracks the number of logged calls, providing visibility into sales persistence.

D Event Count

Tracks calendar events (meetings/demos) to measure high-value interactions.

Technical Field Structure (Metadata)

For every field monitored on the Lead object (e.g., Email, Phone), Delpha generates a standard set of "companion fields" to store quality metadata.

These fields follow the standard Delpha Data Quality Field Pack structure. This ensures that your Lead data integration is consistent with Contact and Account data structures.

  • Naming Convention: All metadata fields use the prefix delpha__DDQ_Quality followed by the field name and the dimension.

    • Example: delpha__DDQ_QualityEmailValidity__c

    • Example: delpha__DDQ_QualityPhoneScore__c

  • Standard Dimensions: Each monitored field includes dedicated fields for Validity, Completeness, Uniqueness, Consistency, Accuracy, and Timeliness.

  • Full Reference: For a complete list of the API names and types generated for each field, please refer to the Delpha Data Quality Field Pack documentationarrow-up-right.
